Mundesley Lifeboat was tasked by Humber Coastguard to assist Norfolk Police and Bacton and Cromer Coastguard teams in a search for a missing female.
A shoreline search was carried out from Trimmingham through to Bacton Gas Terminal in challenging conditions and failing light.
Crew used the thermal imaging camera and were stood down on their return leg to Mundesley.
