Humber Coastguard requested immediate launch to reports of a teenager on a paddle board drifting approximately half a mile off Bacton Gas Site. Mundesley ILB quickly launched along with Happisburgh Lifeboat. After a brief search Mundesley Lifeboat found the casualty close to a mile off Bacton beach along with a member of the public.
The crew quickly got both casualties on board and returned them safely to the beach. Happisburgh Lifeboat then collected the two paddle boards.
When the Lifeboat had returned to station Bacton Coastguard requested launch to assist with two paddleboards reported as being in difficulty. It was quickly established that they had made their way back to the beach.
A great example of RNLI and independent lifeboats working closely together alongside local Coastguard teams.
