Humber Coastguard requested launch to search for a potential missing person after items of clothing had been found on the beach at Bacton.
The crew carried out a shoreline search for just over an hour and a half between Mundesley and Happisburgh before the news came through that the casualty had been found safe and well inland.
The crew were joined by Sea Palling Lifeboat and coastguard teams from Bacton and Cromer.
